📋 CMO REVIEW REQUIRED · HA1 · NOT FOR PUBLICATION
This asset is a working draft authored under Standing Order #1 (del.auth). It will be held at HA4 maximum until triad marketing-authority (Laurence Hugo + Lisa Hugo + Corrina McGowan · SO #5, SO #6) has performed sight-check review. HA5 (board-ratified · publication-ready) is gated on that CMO sight-check per user directive 2026-08-06.
SO #3 · Placeholder registrations. Life Without Debt Ltd is in pre-registration phase. ACNC charity registration, ASIC company registration, and ATO DGR/tax endorsement are not yet finalised. Any registration numbers, ABN references, or DGR statements shown are placeholders under Standing Order #3 (truthful non-compliance) and will be replaced with real values on registration.

For carers

STANCE A · DIRECT names the illness context in plain English

Caring for someone changes your own finances too

If you're the primary carer for someone with terminal, life-limiting, chronic or serious illness, you are named as a paramount beneficiary in our constitution. That is not a technicality — it is the point. Lost income, out-of-pocket costs, and the emotional weight of caring shape carer financial lives in ways that carer support services often miss. Life Without Debt sees carers as clients in their own right, not just as intermediaries for the person you care for.

STANCE B · GENTLE leads with debt-resolution offer, illness as qualifier

Care work has real costs — we see you

Being a carer is a full life. When someone you love is unwell, your own financial picture can become one more thing to hold. Life Without Debt is here for carers as much as for the person you care for. Whether you need help for yourself, or you're looking for support for both of you, this is the right place to start.

Triad decision required at HA3 sight-check (SO #5)
Under Standing Order #5 (marketing-approval triad: Laurence + Lisa + Corrina) the choice between Stance A (direct) and Stance B (gentle) is a marketing-authority decision — the agent has authored both to hand you the choice, not to pre-collapse it. Circle back at the 25 Aug Board meeting or via /ha4-ha5-console once a stance is chosen.

Two doors, one service

You can approach us in either of two ways, and both are fine:

  1. Getting help for the person you care for — use our Beneficiary Intake and indicate you are submitting on their behalf. You'll need their consent (or legal authority if they lack capacity).
  2. Getting help for yourself as a carer — use our Beneficiary Intake and indicate the submission is for you. Carers of persons with clause 4(a) illness are themselves in the paramount beneficiary class.

You can also do both. Some carers open a case for themselves and a separate case for the person they care for. Whatever works.

The carer-specific patterns we see

We understand these patterns. Our Beneficiary Liaison Officer is trained to name them without asking you to spell them out.
